As Director of Policy and STEM Education, Terri Nikole Baca drives and oversees Innovate+Educate’s policy initiatives to advance STEM education and workforce development. Terri Nikole also serves as Director of the New Mexico STEM Network, a statewide initiative to accelerate STEM student achievement in New Mexico.  Terri Nikole's professional experience includes project management, public relations and government affairs, and state, federal and tribal government policymaking. 

Prior to joining Innovate+Educate, Terri Nikole served as an education policy advisor in the U.S. House of Representatives where she worked on major federal education initiatives, including key provisions in the America Creating Opportunities to Meaningfully Promote Excellence in Technology, Education, and Science (COMPETES) Reauthorization Act of 2010. During her time on Capitol Hill, Terri Nikole also worked closely with the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology where she developed education policy to advance underrepresented students in STEM. 

Terri Nikole was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and holds a BBA in Finance and a JD from the University of New Mexico. Her professional memberships include the American Bar Association, State Bar of New Mexico, New Mexico Hispanic Bar Association and New Mexico Women’s Bar Association.
