Assistant Director for Curriculum and Instruction

Sandi Woodall currently serves education as the Assistant Director for Curriculum and Instruction at the Georgia Department of Education. She is charged with Common Core implementation for the state of Georgia.  Sandi holds a B.S. in Elementary Education, M.Ed. in Mathematics Education, and Leadership Certification all from the University of Georgia.  She is a veteran mathematics teacher, having taught elementary and middle school mathematics prior to her lengthy tenure as a high school mathematics teacher.  Sandi shifted to administration in 1998 – first as a high school assistant principal for instruction, next as a high school principal, and then as the director of high school instruction in a large metro Georgia district. She brings the perspective of a teacher, a school and district administrator, and a state leader to this panel session.
