Dr. Mark D. Vaughn is a manager of the Technical Talent Pipelining for Corning’s Technology Community and is the lead for the Technology Community Office of STEM. In this role, Vaughn develops, implements and manages PK-20 science and engineering programs and initiatives in support of the Technology Community’s near and long term technical talent needs. 

Vaughn began his 25 year career with Corning in 1988 as a Research Technician. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Alfred University, a Master of Science degree in Optics from the University of Rochester, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to his current role, Vaughn was a Research Associate in Modeling and Simulation Research where he was a noted expert in Optical Network Traffic Demand Modeling and Access Network Cost Modeling.
