Eric Stade, Ph.D.

Dr. Eric Stade is Professor of Mathematics and President’s Teaching Scholar at the University of Colorado Boulder.  He grew up in New York City, and received his BA, MA, and PhD in Mathematics from Columbia University.

Dr. Stade is one of the founding Directors of UC Boulder’s iSTEM:  Integrating STEM Education Colorado program, which recently established the new campus Center for STEM Learning (CSL).  Dr. Stade also directs the Libby Arts Residential Academic Program, a campus living-and-learning community with an academic focus on the visual and performing arts, and on creativity.

For much of his career, Dr. Stade has been actively involved in the mathematical training of future K12 teachers. He presently serves on the Planning Committee of the Mathematics Teacher Education Partnership (MTE-P), a nationwide initiative whose goal is “To transform the preparation of secondary mathematics teachers.”
