Beth Broome, who joined SFAz in 2010 as a consultant, now helps oversee the integration of STEM into schools and implementation of the data analytics system for the Arizona STEM Network. Throughout her career, Broome has focused on workforce development and education issues, with a particular focus on program development and implementation. After graduating from John Carroll University in Cleveland, she taught middle school and adult education classes.

She then joined the nationally renowned Cleveland Works as Director of Employment and Training, where her work included coordinating programs to provide adult basic education and occupation-specific career training. As Director of New Life Community in Cleveland, Broome worked with homeless and jobless families to develop workforce skills and attain permanent housing.

Over the last decade working as a consultant, Broome's efforts have included shaping a residential treatment and learning program for troubled youth in Kalamazoo, Michigan; co-authoring a strategic plan for the City of Kalamazoo and related efforts focused on affordable housing and urban development; and developing strategic plans and business models for various non-profits and start-ups.
